In England, Northern Ireland and Wales the Learning Records Service (LRS) offers a facility which stores learner participation and achievements collected directly from the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and the relevant awarding organisations. By providing personal information, relevant organisations will have access to your Personal Learning Record in order to assess achievements, awards and credits and to offer advice and guidance and to pull down funding for subsidisded qualifications. Learners will have complete visibility of their data and will be able to determine which organisations have visability of this data and which data they can view. LRS is operated by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).
All organisations that will have access to the information you provide are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998.
You can find out how to opt-out of sharing participation and achievement data within LRS by visiting www.learningrecordsservice.org.uk or by telephoning the LRS customer helpdesk on 0845 602 2589. You can also opt-out by contacting the SFA service desk on 0370 267 0001 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
