What do the different staff roles mean?

Centre Course Manager (CCM)

The CCM oversees the delivery of the Sports Leaders UK qualifications delivered by the Approved Assessment Centre (AAC). They act as the point of contact between Sports Leaders UK and the AAC and receive all correspondence.

The CCM can also be the Tutor/Assessor.

The Tutor/Assessor has a variety of roles and  responsibilities throughout the delivery of the qualification. Further information, resources and forms to support the Tutor/Assessor can be found on the Tutor Association.

The Tutor/Assessor can also be the Internal Verifier of a different course that they are not delivering or have any involvement in.

Internal Verifier

The Internal Verifier monitors the quality of the Tutor/Assessor's performance and verifies the assessment decisions made by the Tutor/Assessor.

For those delivering Levels 1, 2 and 3 Sports Leadership qualifications from the 1st September 2016 Sports Leaders UK have created a short video to support Centres in ensuring the role of the IV is understood and carried out correctly.

Independent Assessor

The Independent Assessor is someone independent from the course that provides an assessment of the learner's competence.
